Who are we?
Arsha means "from the Rishis (Sages). Vidya means knowledge. Parampara means tradition/lineage. Hence Arsha Vidya Parampara means "The knowledge tradition coming down from our Sages/Seers".
Arsha Vidya Parampara is a picturesque Gurukulam (place of learning), on about two and a half acres of land, about 15 kms from Chennai Airport, in a village called Somangalam. The Ashram has been built with the blessings and guidance of Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati (1930-2015). We conduct courses, camps and retreats to enable people from around the world benefit from the timeless knowledge of our Rishis, mainly Vedanta (Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads), Hatha Yoga & Sanskrit and also other allied topics/disciplines that are connected to Indian heritage & culture.
We also conduct online Vedanta (Bhagavad Gita) & Sanskrit classes. For details and registration go here.
The resident Acharya of the Gurukulam is Swami Sarvananda.
